‘n what’s there to celebrate for?

Another year of my life has come to an end! ūüôā

and I seriously am¬†still trying to figure out one good reason to feel happy today! Just one goddamned reason, but¬†whichever way I look at my life at, there’s nothing to celebrate about. I’ve got no big achievements in my sack, in fact, I could not even¬†succeed in getting even as much back as I invested in this life. May it be for plain sincere love, friends and friendships, social status,¬†success in career, studies,¬†enjoyment, drugs, girls, etc. etc., not even the religion I was born in. Such a waste!

There’s just this one¬†achievement! I survived for another year¬†–¬†kaafi¬†dheet¬†hoon ūüôā

I slaved away a whole year working, doing the¬†same shit I’ve been doing for past 4 years. And it makes me terribly scared at times…that is this it? Is this all I am ever gonna be? I’ve become just another mechanical part in this capitalist machine, wasting my precious time,¬†breath, and¬†life, working for people I¬†won’t¬†even¬†ever get a chance to meet or see.¬†Eventually, I might (MIGHT)¬†get married, perhaps, with children added into the scene later, working my ass off to feed them and fulfill their demands and so on so forth… and then one day, DIE! Silently. No one except my close relatives, and acquaintance would ever know.

Look around you. Isn’t this what happens around us on daily basis? Our neighbours? People who suddenly stop coming to the office and we lazily say Fateha on their death. It’s happening to us at this very moment? We’ll just perish with no trace? No big achievements, nothing to be remembered for?

SO! what AM I DOING ANYWAYS? And WHAT am I gonna do now, to be able to celebrate my life for something at least?

I’ve got not darn idea!

As marriages are born, friendships are killed.

Seriously????

A person¬†very dear to me, and close (I speak for my own self) just got nikah-o-fied (muslim marriage ceremony) So? Am I¬†Jealous? Err. NoOooo… not in that way, ‘cuz I am a guy, and ‘she’ was one of the closest of those I called friends. CALLED? yep! Called. Because as she’s getting married, she’s leaving the country. Poof! Gone! Forever. Out of my life.

The marriage is arranged, so she doesn’t even know shit about the guy that¬†she’s being tagged with. All she believes in, is that her daddy dearest chose the best chap for him (‘n I¬†hope he did), and I suppose she’s also happy that she got married before she got much¬†aged (‘cuz getting married, is seen as an achievement for girls in our society¬†I¬†suppose…). So… she’s not sure if the guy can digest that she’s got male friends… (and¬†I¬†know how possessive guys¬†can be…) and most does not, so yes, it’s almost¬†over.

But I suppose,¬†I am sad. Very sad. Because we were very good¬†friends.¬†Shared many interests. Dined together. Discussed everything. Liked somewhat¬†same sort of music and even same sort of movies and celebrities ūüôā and the person who was more to me than a friend is gone.

I think, I was one of the few people she initially shared the news with, when groom’s side¬†attacked with the¬†proposal.¬†I didn’t know how to react. All I could do was, congratulate with a big smile. All those movies like ‘my best friend’s wedding’ and its indian copy ‘mere yaar¬†ki shadi¬†hai’ started playing in my head. I wanted to say things… fight¬†for¬†her…¬†not to let her get away from me… but i¬†could not. Because I could not be selfish with the person I always cared for and called friend. She sounded very excited. Her whole family was so happy. How could i¬†mess that up, even if I could. Worst of all… I had no alternate to offer,¬†‘n then there was no time or cushion also¬†to come up with anything. I¬†didn’t want to mess up her¬†thoughts just because I was too scared¬†to lose her. I still am. But she seems so happy¬†and¬†she’s already been tagged with the guy legally ‘n (inshallah)¬†she’d be gone out of country in a few months. I’ve lost her already.

Now why AM I writing this shitty story here? Getting back to the beginning.

Seriously!!!!

We all live in a country, which is full of stereotypes and¬†where marriage is such a big deal. We are¬†always told¬† (and fed by the media n movies)¬†that a¬†boy and a girl can never be just¬†friends. Everyone is suspicious no matter how open-minded or educated. And only¬†to prove that they are just friends, sometimes and sadly enough,¬†any true feelings that even¬†do nurture during the beautiful¬†friendship time,¬†are sometimes had to be suppressed¬†even from each other. The fear of losing the friend and¬†to at least¬†be able to talk to them in life ahead,¬†they end up¬†losing someone who was naturally the best option for them. The friendship is saved… the only person you could really be happy with, is lost.

The same catastrophe took place here. I could not muster up courage to¬†ever be able to apprise her of my true feelings. Fear of ruining my friendship, the fear of me ruining my image any further, the fear of breaking her trust about friends and friendship… the fear of messing up her mind and her new-found happiness and excitement…¬†has cost me dearly… and shall continue to do so my whole life. Only to prove that we were just friends¬†and we are not supposed to fall for each other everrr… or else many people might have said… ‘see… we knew he was after her since the beginning with these intentions…’

So… A marriage is born…and a friendship¬†is killed ūüė¶

STILL DIDN’T GET WHY AM I¬†WHINING?

ūüôā Well…so if you’ve got a friend whom you take for like, your mirror or the other half or like a sibling or¬†something you know you¬†cannot live without, and you two gel really well… then value him/her NOW. Don’t wait till someone from abroad¬†jumps in, and then you realize that you’ve lost perhaps the most important person of your life. Let them know NOW. Life’s too short to hide feelings. So don’t be afraid to tell people how you feel. You never know if they feel the same!!! (well… at least I know now she didn’t ūüôā so I guess, got¬†saved¬† from¬†the uber embarassment)

As marriages are born, friendships are killed.

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz, a bunch of Bogus Tricksters

Beginning of February 2012 started a new ‘drama’ for the Punjabis.

The Khaadam-e-Aala (The Supreme Servant – a servant who enjoys a motorcade of more than two dozen vehicles, which includes a fire-tender and a prison van as well – weird!) started distribution of free Laptops to the students of various Government run universities across Punjab. I met a boy today, who was¬†happy because his sister got a free laptop from her university, and now the whole family is enjoying the new machine. FINE! at individual level, people who got these, are very happy! who doesn’t likes getting¬†a free Laptop anyways? Take a broader view… and lets start the criticism!

  1. Reportedly, the Punjab Government spend PKR¬†4 Billion on this project – a TV anchor tweeted that it’s over 12 Billion. Whatever the real cost… the project was funded by taxpayers’¬†money. True? RIGHT! then why is it named as ‘Shahbaz¬†Sharif’s¬†e-Youth initiative’ ? ? ? why a person’s name? why not his designation? like Musharraf started ‘President’s Rozgar Scheme’ – So it’s my money, and someone else is trying to take all the credit¬†by putting his name on the project! and trying to gain votes for his own-self by spending MY F**KIN’ MONEY! and that too without my advice or CONSENT! – even worse, I cannot do anything to reverse that.
  2. The amount of money spent on this project to buy votes, could have been used to form a complete new University, or hundreds of new Schools, ORRRR upgrading of old ones across Punjab.
  3. 110,000 Laptops are being distributed. Supplied by renowned brand DELL. GOOD JOB! buttt…. how about if the contract had a clause that, the supplier must manufacture these laptops IN PUNJAB! Can you imagine? How many jobs this would have created? A better image for other international brands, encouraging them¬†to ‘dare’ and¬†invest in Pakistan?
NO WAY! Mr. TEENDA was in a hurry to buy votes before this set-up packs up. Who gives a F**K about the long-term vision or about the country!!! GAAAH!!!
  4. The misery doesn’t stop here. Look again to the RIGHT!¬†
Can you see this ‘Nawaz¬†Sharif¬†Interchange’ built on Lahore Ring Road¬†on Bedian Road (Near Phase 5&6 of DHA Lahore) ? ? ?
Why¬†‘Nawaz¬†Sharif¬†Interchange’ ? Why NOT¬†DHA Interchange? Why not¬†anything else? WHY NAWAZ¬†SHARIF? DID HE PAY FOR THIS PROJECT FROM HIS OWN POCKETS? NO!¬†WHO IS HE? an EX-Prime Minister? SO WHAT? WHY NOT “ZAFARULLAH¬†JAMALI INTERCHANGE” THEN¬†?

The same thing could be seen when Khaadim-e-Aala went to Gilgit-Baltistan for campaign of PML-N, and assured them of more quota for students in Punjab’s universities and colleges. This translates in to, depriving more Punjabi students, denying them admissions in their own institutes, being run by their tax money, only for political gain of PML-N. Pathetic.

WE NEED TO WAKE UP! SERIOUSLY. these gol-mol¬†people, and their bunch¬†of goons are¬†trying to fool people. They want to buy¬†people’s votes¬†by using people’s¬†own money!¬† WOAAH!¬†GOOD SHOW “SHARIF¬†BROS’!!! but U STILL¬†SUCK! ūüôā

Imran Khan at PTI’s Lahore JALSA on 30th October 2011

It’s been great. Simply put, awesome. No one, not even Imran Khan were expecting such an amazing turn-out at the event.

From where I am looking at it, the current wave is not because of the charisma of Imran Khan, or by any efforts of PTI workers. It’s all working, thanks to the amazingly pathetic government of PPP, and strangely idiotic opposition from PML(N) which is primarily based on personal gains. People are tired. That is the only reason why they are out for a new face.

What’s wrong with this picture?

From the beginning, Imran¬†stressed on one thing, that he does not want to include tried-&-tested corrupt people in PTI’s ranks. I wonder where does that put people like Hamid Khan (a known corrupt lawyer, with not-so-affable reputation), or Mian¬†Azhar¬†for that matter? (he’s the same guy who founded PML(Q) in Musharraf’s command), & then¬†Fouzia¬†Qasuri? I am not sure, but I have a gut-feeling that she also must be from the Qasuri family!! (former Minister of¬†Foreign Affairs from Musharraf regime).

In beginning, he had an impressive line-up of some great teachers, and people by his side. But then, perhaps due to media’s constant bashing, pressure from establishment, or some insiders scaring him, he went on to include ‘famous names’ in PTI ranks, and it sucks, skipper! You would’ve done better without!

I was in full support of his, but since last night, and repeatedly reviewing his speech, i am having second thoughts! Seriously!

Thaneydaar¬†to be elected? Gah! at one point, he wants to de-politicize the Police! on the other hand he’s planning to fully politicize whatever is left of it. Wondering? Good!
Now imagine (just an example), Constituency # NA 1.¬†The MNA¬†&¬†all MPAs are from, lets say¬†PTI.¬†Now we know that the majority votes are with PTI.¬†Now¬†don’t you think that all the police officers of that¬†constituency would automatically¬†have an inclination towards PTI¬†so that¬†they can get elected by PTI’s support? YES! I hope you got it!

He is definitely confused about many issues. Can somebody tell me that who’s given him (or¬†PTI)¬†¬†authority or mandate to probe into other people’s assets? Isn’t this supposed to be NAB or SCP’s job to do such! Isn’t this simply a plan for¬†an invasion of privacy? Yes it is! Untill & unless authorized by a competent court, or such, it is.

Civil Disobedience? because politicians are not declaring their assets. Does this makes any sense? Is it really that big an issue, to ignite Civil Disobedience? are we followers of Gandhi now? or was it Quaid-e-Azam who always avoided going into such situations?

And his revolutionary plans to end terrorism through tribals! amazingly DUMB! CMMON¬†fellas! if they were that good? why did they let Taliban take over in the first place? Army entered very late when things went totally out of control, and when Tehreek-e-Taliban-Pakistan¬†literally started policing in those areas. They could not before, and they still can never counter the heavily-foreign-funded¬†TTP or Al-Qaeda. It’s like living in a fool’s paradise. FACE IT!¬†

Mr. Imran Khan. You definitely need to review your views. People have high hopes from you. Same as they had from Nawaz Sharif. PLEASE DO NOT lead them into a bigger, darker future than what it is today. DO NOT FAIL THEIR ONLY HOPE! The mayhem and confusion you might induce (unintentionally probably), through these young people, would be disastrous.

Hello NETIZENS!

Finally the blog is up and running! & it revolves around one basic idea… changing the mind-set.

People believe, and start accepting the facts that are bombarded onto them repeatedly. Their minds block all other ideas & notions, and any attempts to by-pass that is considered conspiracy theory! or work of a sick mind. The reality, however, can differ from what things really looks like. I, shall focus on that.

You, however, reserve the right to hate me, dislike my posts, AND bash me mercilessly. All comments (except spamming) shall be allowed! weather in my posts favor, or against it! because that is one thing we rebels feed on! OPPOSITION!

Let it BEGIN!
